Creating a commissioned painting is a deeply individual process that merges creativity with intention. Recently, I completed a unique piece for a doctor’s treatment room, specifically designed to bring warmth and light to a north-facing space. Despite limited natural sunlight, the artwork radiates the perfect atmosphere of natural light, creating a welcoming and calming environment for patients.
It should also be discreet, unobtrusive and light – nothing that distracts or burdens you during a visit to the doctor. At the same time, it was important to me that the image gives patients the opportunity to discover something new every time their gaze lingers there, for example because they have to wait. That’s why it was important to me that the picture had depth and had many small aspects to discover.
A painting like this is more than just an art piece; it’s a carefully crafted experience tailored to the needs of the space and the individuals who will encounter it..
